Innovativer Mikro-ÖV für Pendler:innen
Teil 12 der Serie "ULTIMOB - Mobilität der Zukunft" führt erneut nach NÖ ins Tullnerfeld.
Der Schwerpunkt der Pilotregion Tullnerfeld liegt auf der Überwindung der Letzten bzw. Ersten Meile. Drei Elektro-Busse der Firma Karsan werden daher im Zuge des Pilotbetriebs zwischen Februar und Dezember 2023 den öffentlichen Verkehr in den Gemeinden Tulbing und Judenau-Baumgarten klimaschonend unterstützen. So wird Tulbing mit der nun schnelleren Buslinie 411 verbunden, während ein Elektrobus Judenau-Baumgarten direkt mit dem Bahnhof Tullnerfeld verbindet und damit die Linie 410 entlastet.
Tulbing hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnten von einer ländlichen Gemeinde zu einer begehrten Wohngemeinde im Wiener Umland entwickelt. Dabei entstand ein sehr weitläufiges Gemeindestraßennetz mit 130 Straßen und ca. 41 km, welches mit großen Bussen teilweise schwer erreichbar ist. Die nun eingesetzten Elektro-Busse sind mit einer Länge von ca. 4,6 m klein und wendig. So können sie auch kleinere Straßen gut erreichen. In Tulbing werden zwei der drei Elektro-Busse eingesetzt. Mit vielen Vorteilen: mehr Einstiegstellen, kürzere Gehwege zur nächsten Haltestelle und eine signifikant geringere Lärm- und Abgasbelastung.
Mehr Transportkapazität und kürzere Fahrzeiten
Der erhöhte Individualverkehr zum Bahnhof Tullnerfeld führt zu einem Parkplatzmangel und vermehrter Bodenversiegelung. Mit dem Einsatz eines der drei Elektro-Busse in Judenau-Baumgarten können deutlich mehr Menschen zum Bahnhof Tullnerfeld gebracht werden, gleichzeitig verkürzt die direktere Führung der höherrangigen VOR Buslinien die Fahrzeit von Pendler:innen aus Tulln und Königstetten zum Bahnhof Tullnerfeld.
Der neue Bahnhof Tullnerfeld ist mitunter ein Grund, warum die Region stark an Einwohner:innen wächst und damit zunehmend mit Pendler:innen-Problemen konfrontiert ist. Daher sind die Ziele des Pilotbetriebs die Reduktion des motorisierten Individualverkehrs, insbesondere zum Bahnhof Tullnerfeld, sowie die Verkürzung der Fahrzeiten der Linien 410 und 411. So wird der Bahnhof Tullnerfeld besser und effizienter an die Ortszentren und Siedlungsgebiete an die nähere Umgebung angebunden.

Innovative micro-public transport for commuters
The focus of the pilot region Tullnerfeld is on overcoming the last or first mile. Three electric buses from the manufacturer Karsan will provide climate-friendly support for the public transport system in the municipalities of Tulbing and Judenau-Baumgarten during the pilot operation between February and December 2023. Thus, Tulbing will be connected with the now faster bus line 411, while an electric bus will connect Judenau-Baumgarten directly with the Tullnerfeld train station, thus relieving line 410.
In recent decades, Tulbing has developed from a rural municiplaity into a popular residential municipality in the metropolitan area of Vienna. This has resulted in a very extensive municipal road network with 130 roads of which 41 km are difficult to access with large buses. The new electric buses are small and maneuverable, with a length of approx. 4.6 meters. Therefore they can enter smaller streets easily. In Tulbing, two of the three electric buses are in use which brings multiple benefits: more bus stops, shorter walking distances to the next stop and significantly lower noise and exhaust pollution.
More transport capacity and shorter travel times
The increased motorized individual traffic to the Tullnerfeld station leads to a shortage of space and increased soil sealing. With the use of one of the three electric buses in Judenau-Baumgarten, significantly more people can be brought to the Tullnerfeld station. At the same time, the more direct routing of the higher-ranking VOR bus lines shortens the travel time of commuters from Tulln and Königstetten to the Tullnerfeld train station.
The new Tullnerfeld train station is one of the reasons for the dynamic population growth in the region, which leads to increasing commuter problems. Therefore, the goals of the pilot operation are the reduction of motorized individual traffic, especially to the Tullnerfeld train station, as well as the shortening of the travel times of lines 410 and 411. Thus, the Tullnerfeld train station will be better and more efficiently connected to the local centers and settlement areas in the immediate vicinity.
